Please read these terms carefully before placing an order, dining with us, or using our services. By doing so, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Acceptance of These Terms
By visiting our restaurant, placing an order (in-person, by phone, via WhatsApp, or through any online platform), making a reservation, or using any of our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using our services. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who violates these terms.
Minors: Customers under the age of 18 must have parental or guardian consent before placing orders or entering into any agreement with us.

R & F Olowosibi Restaurant is a Nigerian food establishment based in Kano, Nigeria, offering dine-in, takeaway, home delivery, and catering services. These Terms and Conditions govern all transactions and interactions between the restaurant and its customers.
Orders & Order Acceptance
Orders can be placed through the following channels:
- In-person at our restaurant premises during operating hours
- By phone or WhatsApp on 08062301925
- By email at rf.olowosibi@gmail.com
- Via third-party delivery platforms where we are listed
An order is only confirmed once we acknowledge it. We reserve the right to reject or cancel any order due to unavailability of items, inability to deliver to your location, payment issues, or any other reason at our discretion.
Menu items are subject to availability. If an item you ordered is unavailable, we will inform you promptly and offer a suitable alternative or a full refund for that item.
Order accuracy: Please review your order carefully before confirming. We prepare meals exactly as ordered. Errors in your order details (wrong address, wrong item selection) are your responsibility unless we confirm the error was ours.
Prices, Payments & Charges
All prices are displayed in Nigerian Naira (₦) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Prices are subject to change without prior notice, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed.
- Accepted payment methods: Cash, bank transfer, POS/card, mobile money (OPay, Palmpay, etc.), and USSD
- Delivery charges: Delivery fees are separate from food prices and will be communicated before order confirmation
- Service charge: A service charge may be applied to dine-in orders and will be displayed on your receipt
- Promotional pricing: Discounts, deals, and promotions are subject to their own specific terms and cannot be combined unless stated
- Pre-payment: Some orders (large catering orders, pre-orders) may require full or partial payment upfront
No chargebacks without contact: Please contact us first if you have a payment dispute. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may result in us disputing the claim and refusing future service.
Delivery Terms & Conditions
We offer home delivery within our service area in Kano. The following terms apply to all delivery orders:
- Delivery area: We deliver within select areas of Kano. Contact us to confirm if your location is covered before ordering
- Estimated delivery time: Delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to traffic, weather, order volume, or other factors beyond our control
- Delivery address: You are responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address. We are not liable for failed deliveries due to incorrect address information
- Failed delivery: If delivery fails because no one is available to receive the order after the rider has made reasonable attempts to reach you, the order may be cancelled without a refund
- Risk of loss: Responsibility for your order transfers to you upon delivery to the address provided
- Contactless delivery: Available on request. Food will be left at your door — we are not liable for loss after placement
Always be available to receive your order or assign someone to receive it on your behalf. Check your order before the rider leaves to confirm it is correct and complete.
Food Quality, Allergens & Dietary Requirements
We take food quality and safety seriously and comply with applicable NAFDAC and Nigerian food safety standards. However, please note the following:
- Freshness: All meals are freshly prepared. Food should be consumed within 2 hours of receipt for optimal quality and safety
- Allergens: Our kitchen handles common allergens including nuts, gluten, dairy, eggs, and seafood. Cross-contamination is possible. If you have food allergies, you must inform us before ordering
- Dietary requirements: We will do our best to accommodate dietary requests (e.g., no pepper, no onions) but cannot guarantee a fully allergen-free meal due to our shared kitchen environment
- Nutritional information: Calorie and nutritional data may not be available for all menu items. Ask our staff for guidance
- Storage: If you do not consume your food immediately, store it properly. We are not liable for health issues arising from improper food storage after delivery
Severe allergies: If you have a life-threatening allergy, please speak directly with our kitchen staff before ordering. We cannot guarantee zero cross-contamination.
Table Reservations & Dine-In
Reservations can be made by calling or messaging us on 08062301925. The following conditions apply:
- Confirmation: A reservation is only confirmed once we acknowledge it verbally or in writing
- Arrival time: Please arrive within 15 minutes of your reservation time. Tables may be released to other guests after this period
- Cancellations: Cancel at least 2 hours before your reservation time. Late cancellations or no-shows for large group bookings may attract a fee
- Group bookings: Bookings of 10 or more people require at least 24 hours notice and may require a deposit
- Special requests: Birthday setups, decorations, or special arrangements must be communicated at least 24 hours in advance and may attract additional charges
Catering & Large Orders
We offer catering services for events, parties, corporate functions, and other occasions. The following terms apply:
- Advance notice: Catering orders require a minimum of 48 hours notice. Complex or large orders may require more time
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of up to 50% of the total order value is required to confirm a catering booking
- Final balance: The remaining balance is due upon delivery or at least 2 hours before the event, whichever comes first
- Cancellation: Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event will forfeit the deposit. Cancellations made less than 12 hours before may be charged the full amount
- Quantities: Final quantities must be confirmed at least 24 hours before the event. We cannot guarantee increases to orders placed at shorter notice
- Equipment: Any serving equipment provided by us (trays, warmers, etc.) must be returned in good condition. Damaged or unreturned equipment will be charged
Expected Customer Behaviour
We aim to provide a welcoming and comfortable experience for all customers. In return, we ask that all customers:
- Treat our staff and other customers with respect at all times
- Refrain from using abusive, threatening, or offensive language
- Not bring outside food or drinks onto our premises without permission
- Follow the instructions of our staff regarding seating, safety, and hygiene
- Not engage in behaviour that disrupts other diners or affects the ambiance of the restaurant
- Settle your bill in full before leaving the restaurant
- Not damage or remove any property belonging to the restaurant
Right to refuse service: We reserve the right to refuse service, ask a customer to leave, or cancel an order at any time if a customer's conduct is deemed inappropriate, abusive, or harmful to staff or other customers. No refund will be given in such cases.
Our Liability to You
While we strive to provide the best food and service, R & F Olowosibi Restaurant's liability is limited as follows:
- We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses arising from the use of our services
- Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the value of the specific order in dispute
- We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our control, including power outages, flooding, strikes, or other force majeure events
- We are not liable for health issues arising from improper handling or storage of food after it has been delivered or collected
- We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings left on our premises
- Vehicles parked at or near our premises are parked at the owner's own risk
Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights under Nigerian consumer protection law, including your right to a refund for defective or unsafe food.
Our Brand & Content
All content associated with R & F Olowosibi Restaurant — including our name, logo, menu designs, photographs, social media content, and any other materials — is the intellectual property of the restaurant and is protected under Nigerian law.
- You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute our brand materials without prior written permission
- Photographs taken on our premises may be shared on personal social media but must not be used for commercial purposes without our consent
- Negative or defamatory content published about our restaurant using fabricated information may be subject to legal action
Your Personal Data
When you place an order or make a reservation, we collect personal information such as your name, phone number, address, and payment details. This information is used solely to fulfil your order, process payments, and improve our service.
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties except where required to fulfil your order (e.g., delivery riders) or as required by Nigerian law.
For full details on how we handle your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions. Your data is processed in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).
Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, pricing, or applicable Nigerian laws. The updated version will be posted on our premises and online platforms, with the "Last Updated" date revised accordingly.
Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts, with preference for resolution in Kano State.
We encourage all disputes to be resolved amicably first through direct communication. Where this fails, parties may seek resolution through:
- The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) — fccpc.gov.ng
- The Consumer Protection Council (CPC) — cpc.gov.ng
- Kano State courts or relevant Nigerian tribunals
- Accredited mediation or arbitration under Nigerian law
